Graphic Design Courses - Online & in London

Cut, paste, scan, edit, print. Our range of courses in graphic design offer students the opportunity to learn new digital and technical skills alongside an understanding of design theory. Our contemporary courses offer practical experiences with an emphasis on creative thinking, idea generation and experimentation, in both traditional and digital formats. 

From beginners to intermediate, we offer short, flexible courses within the areas of typography and design, art illustration and direction, advertising, packaging design as well as getting to grips with Adobe Photoshop, Illustration, and InDesign. Delivered in our fully equipped design studios, students will work alongside industry professionals and other students, collaboratively building a wide-ranging portfolio of creative work to support your next steps.

We offer a range of courses allowing you to choose between online and in-person learning. All our courses are live, interactive, and taught by expert tutors.   6. Design and make your own graphic design zines

    This is a low tech, fun approach to create your first Do-It-Yourself publication. Zines or Fanzines (from the word magazine) refers to self-published booklets, produced by hand that have a distinctive cut and paste graphic style - as seen in punk culture in the 70s. The course is an opportunity to take creative control, a chance to discover your own unique style and learn how to assemble a handmade publication from start to finish. Would suit illustrators, animators, printmakers or photographers or for those wishing to learn new ways to present a collection of visual ideas.

  9. Graphic design: the fundamentals

    This course will give you a strong basis for starting to explore what Graphic Design is as a subject. We will lead you in exploring creating graphic images and words. It will include looking at how drawing tasks can lead onto abstraction and graphic representation. You will also explore the nature of text and words, including poetry, of their form and layout and their graphic representation using creative and playful analogue working techniques.







    Note the course does not include any software teaching use in terms of the creation of works. You will however be guided to take photographs of your works and create pdf’s to submit onto a course Padlet, which is a shared class resource.







    Working on a series of short engaging tasks and homework extension tasks, supported by contextual references for visual inputs, you will build both subject confidence and the ability to produce creative graphic design solutions.

  10. Graphic design: cut n paste collage techniques

  11. Typography: digital type techniques

  12. Creative problem solving: 1 day workshop

    This one day course is an introduction to creative problem solving. You will be given an illustration brief and learn how to generate, research, select and develop your best idea and create a finished piece of artwork.
