Courses In London & Online
Do you want to develop your writing and reading skills for inside and outside work? These courses will help you become a more fluent reader and writer, increase your vocabulary, structure your writing of emails, reports and essays and become a more confident communicator in English.
What is the best course for me?
You need to do a pre-course assessment. You can also do it online, but a face-to-face assessment is best.

Times:
- Every Monday 12- 2pm
- Every Wednesday 6-8pm
- Every Friday 11am-1pm (23rd August – 6th October)
The courses are FREE to most learners if you earn less than £21,547.50 a year or are on Universal Credit, JSA or ESA (WRAG). They are either in the City Lit building or are live online interactive classes. For online courses, you will need a computer with a microphone, a camera and the internet.

Have you been learning English for years but feel stuck with your writing? Are you a confident speaker who struggles with formal communication? This course will release you! This course is designed to help you break through those barriers. You’ll focus on improving the structure of your writing - from full texts to paragraphs and sentences - while deepening your understanding of grammar. The skills you develop will also support more formal speaking tasks, such as job interviews, workplace meetings, and presentations. Ideal for those who feel comfortable speaking English but want to build confidence in their writing and formal communication.
You can join the course during terms 1 and 3.
You need to do a short test before joining.
