Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA.   1. Fine binding masterclass I: end papers

    This masterclass is aimed at intermediate and higher level learners and is designed to develop your skills in making endpapers for fine bindings. You will be taught how to make three different types of endpapers, all with their own suitability for bindings. A chance to improve your skills, accuracy and cleanliness when laminating endpapers.   2. Monoprinting: contemporary monotype techniques

    The monoprint describes a ‘one off’ print, rather than a multiple, similar to a painting however the marks, and



    textures achieved from printing layers of ink can produce rich visual effects as they layer and blend. Starting off with the basic monoprinting techniques you will develop these to produce an exciting series of prints to take home.

  4. Repair your jewellery

    Got a favourite silver necklace that needs repairing, or a precious ring with loose stones? Why not learn to repair them yourself rather than handing them over to someone else? Pick up some of the skills needed for jewellery repair and maintenance on this popular course, mending damaged items and learning how to best clean and store jewellery to extend the life of your favourite pieces.



    Please note that this course does not cover re-stringing/beading as this course is aimed at repairing jewellery made of base and precious metals.

  5. Creative arts for bookbinding III: papercutting

    Learn how to manipulate paper into abstract or representational designs. A range of paper cutting and folding techniques encourage you to explore silhouettes, pattern, imagery, colour and scale to develop your own approach.   6. Screenprinting in a day

    In this fun, 1-day workshop you will be taught how to print and register a two colour screenprint using monoprint, colour blends and pre-made photographic screens. You will be taught some basic screen making process and insight into making digital artwork. This will set you up for longer and more advanced screenprinting classes.
