Piano Workshops in London

We offer a wide range of Piano wokshop classes for pianists of intermediate to advanced playing standard. To see our full sequence of piano classes listed in order from beginners upwards please visit the Piano Department Page

On our in-person Piano workshop classes take place in our well equiped music rooms and the Markson Pianos Recital Room. You’ll play on Bosendorfer, Steinway and Yamaha grand pianos in front of your peers. You will need your own full-sized digital or acoustic piano at home to practice between lessons.

Our piano lessons are live, interactive, and taught by professional performers and practitioners, many of whom also teach at leading London universities and music conservatoires. Please refer to course outlines for individual staff biographies.

Everyone is welcome in our Piano workshops from level 4-8. Entry to Piano: repertoire workshop and Piano: advanced workshop classes is subject to audition. If you need help choosing the right level of class for you, please contact the Music Department.

Our Performing Arts Studios & Equipment in London

Join us at our vibrant Covent Garden campus, an inspiring hub designed to support your learning with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. 

Our facilities in music include: two suites of digital pianos with fully weighted keys, Yamaha pianos and Steinway concert grands for our piano workshops. We also provide microphones, amplifiers, speakers and drumkit for jazz and pop courses. Our dance classes are taught in bright modern studios with sprung flooring, barres and mirrors.

The John Lyon's Theatre accommodates our popular accredited acting courses, City Lit Theatre Company, technical theatre and stage management, and many other acting and music courses and performances.

    City Lit's most advanced, regular classes are for advanced pianists, whether performers or specialist teachers. This course is designed to continue to develop your technique, broaden your repertoire and increase your understanding of piano playing to the highest level.
