Our personal development courses offer you the chance to discover your abilities and potential. Learn about self-control and increasing self-esteem; make small changes that will have a huge benefit in your life. All courses are theoretically underpinned by ideas from psychology and counselling and are run at numerous times during the week.

At City Lit, you can choose to study in-person or online. Our fantastic in-person courses are taught in our attractive campus, located in the heart of Covent Garden, central London. Here, our students can benefit from a variety of services and resources, including our café and state-of-the art equipment.

Our online courses are tailored to give you a social and interactive online learning experience, allowing you freedom to study from anywhere and with like-minded fellow classmates from all over the country without the need to travel.   9. Managing internal stress: introduction to REBT

    This course is for you if you worry a lot and want to calm down all that inner noise! We will focus on recognising three of the ten most common thinking traps that cause us to be anxious. The day will be interactive in nature, and introduce you to skills from REBT (an action-oriented Psychotherapy) that you can take away and use immediately. There will be an exercise to illustrate a means of dealing with anxious arousal and anxious apprehension, using the ABC of problem thinking for managing anxiety.
