Contemporary Crafts Courses in London & Online

Contemporary Crafts at City Lit is the place to develop your making skills. Our classes explore material, technique, process and idea and will encourage you to set and solve creative problems. Basketry, Bookbinding, Calligraphy and Mosaics courses are offered throughout the year, ranging from short modules to two-year programmes of study.

Our studios are perfectly equipped for each discipline, we work hard to design our courses perfectly to take advantage of our facilities. And, we keep those facilities up to date, with regular improvements to equipment and tools.

Recently built, our Design and Digital Lab has enabled the development of craft courses with a digital element such as laser cutting – check out our 3D and digital design and making page for a full list of these exciting new courses.

    Learn Photoshop and design techniques in order to develop your textile design work. Expand your artwork creatively to build of portfolio of ideas while developing a collection of designs and prints.
