Stone Setting – Jewellery Courses in London
Taught by a team of expert tutors, we offer a wide range of jewellery making and stone setting courses. Take your pick from beginner’s jewellery courses including bezel setting through to intermediate and advanced courses that focus on more advanced techniques such as claw and grain setting. Our classes cover experimental, traditional and contemporary techniques.
Join us in our purpose-built studio where you’ll access to industry standard equipment. We’ll also provide you with basic materials for your course but please read the full course outline before you book as your tutor will list anything you need to bring along.

Tutors: Rae DuncanGrain setting, sometimes referred to as bead setting, is a technique where small faceted stones are held in place by small prongs called beads. These are raised from the metal in the band using an engraving tool. Tutors: Louise Seijen Ten HoornFor intermediate jewellers. Learn how to set round brilliant cut/faceted stones in sheet metal and rings using the traditional flush setting technique. You will practice in copper, before moving on to work in silver. There will also be a chance to make your own flush setting tool.
