Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. From experimental painting and drawing to contemporary jewellery making, there is sure to be a course for you. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA. Our courses are designed with you in mind, so you get to spend more time doing what you love. New for 2020 we now offer a creative portfolio of live online courses as well as our face-face studio based teaching.

  12. City Lit children's book illustration: part 3

    Explore the exciting world of children’s book illustration, developing characters, narratives and visual solutions in the third of this three-stage course. The course, which offers the opportunity for artists and illustrators to explore children’s book illustration in depth, is delivered through demonstrations, discussions, lectures and practical creative projects.   13. Motion graphics with Adobe After Effects: stage 2

    On this course you will learn the key skills in using After Effects to transform your video projects. These include planning the project, organising and preparing the material, masking skills, key framing skills and working with layers. Each week the course takes you through a set of practical exercises that help you to develop these key skills. You will be encouraged to practise the techniques you’ve learned outside the course time. You will have the opportunity to develop your own After Effects project and get feedback from the tutor and your peers.
