Vina Theodorakopoulou teaches at the intersection of technology, business and society, helping learners connect big ideas on economics, innovation and human behaviour to real-world decisions and practical outcomes. With a background in financial and professional services and a PhD in behavioural economics, she brings practical insight into how decisions are made under uncertainty and how systems -from markets to organisations- affect everyday life and work. At City Lit, her courses span topics such as AI and ethics, global capitalism, innovation, sustainability and communication. Across all subjects, she focuses on connecting ideas to practice, encouraging learners to apply what they learn in meaningful and tangible ways. She has a strong interest in global cultures and communication, reflected in her teaching of languages and cultural forms, including Greek dance. She believes learning should open up new ways of thinking about work, culture and how we live — and offer practical value beyond the classroom.
Lyndon began his film career working as a runner on several short films and features whilst writing for his own films. Following this, he wrote, produced and directed three successful short films in quick succession between 2003 and 2006. Since then Lyndon has been developing a number of feature films for his production company while working as a filmmaker, with his most recent short film The Verity featuring in a number of international film festivals. For over eighteen years Lyndon has been running a wide range of practical film courses aimed at beginners and professionals alike. His teaching style is very practical, “I try to make them as enjoyable as possible and hopefully the first thing the students would want to do after the course is make another film…”

Podcasting, from concept to production. Your chance to develop your ideas into podcast, and get the opportunity to produce a sample of your work. This course gives you the essential insight into the podcasting landscape: structure, production and distribution.
Do you want to create your own podcast? This is your chance to develop your ideas into a podcast which you will produce in this course.
• Developing and structuring your podcasting ideas<br>• Identifying and targeting your audience<br>• Recording and editing a podcast sample using Audacity<br>• Exploring the sequence of recording, uploading and distributing your podcast through a variety of platforms and apps<br>• Keeping your podcasts fresh and vital.
• Organise your ideas and put your vision into practice<br>• Take the first step - record a sample podcast in class in line with your thematic, explore Audacity and map out the next steps necessary to reach the stage of streaming in to the podcasting community<br>• Evaluate the contents, tools and settings appropriate for your target audience<br>• Gain ideas and the motivation to develop your podcast further.
For beginners with an interest in podcasting and a basic level of computer literacy.<br><br>In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:<br>• Speak English fluently<br>• Read and respond to a variety of text<br>• Give and receive constructive feedback.
This is a practical course of coached sessions including group and solo activities, using appropriate technology.
