Espacio Gallery hosts the City Lit Advanced Textiles Group Final Show, 8-13 December 2020.
For two years the students studying on the Advanced Textiles course at City Lit have experimented with techniques and materials to develop personal projects that demonstrate the amazing things that can be achieved with textiles and stitch.
Because of Covid-19 the final show had to be postponed from July, and lockdown gave the group plenty of extra time develop their work. The final show includes thought-provoking narrative, personal stories, subversive messages, myths and fairy tales, alongside abstract work that pushes traditional fabric manipulation and dyeing techniques to a new level.
The show is open: Tuesday 8 December to Sunday 13 December
