What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- read and translate passages from the Bible with more confidence
- demonstrate an increased knowledge of the vocabulary used in the Bible
- demonstrate a thorough understanding of the passages read and the context in which they were written.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
You should have completed Biblical Hebrew 3 or have an equivalent advanced knowledge (3-4 years of study). As this course is taught in English, please read the outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support with your English skills to help you take part fully in this class.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You will learn from worksheets supplied by the teacher and by reading chapters from the Bible. There will be regular assignments to prepare the texts to be studied in class.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
The texts read in class will be supplied by the tutor but you may find it helpful to bring a grammar and biblical dictionary.
