What is the course about?

A practical revision course to refresh and strengthen your language skills, boost confidence, and prepare for the next level of study.

What will we cover?

Topics: going into town, transport, daily routine, directions, talking about sports, hobbies, expressing how you feel

Grammar:revision of prepositions, auxiliary verbs “want” and “can”, particle “le”, pronunciation and intonation practice.

What will I achieve?

  • Consolidation of writing Chinese characters

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You should have completed Chinese 2 upper: module 3 or have studied Chinese for about 3 years or equivalent.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Communicative teaching: emphasis on speaking/listening and repetition. Questions and answers. Individual, pair and group work, role play. Some homework expected.
