We offer a range of courses for you to develop your skills and knowledge for both life and work. You can enjoy a course starting from beginners’ level all the way to advanced level. Build your confidence in reading, writing, mathematics, and digital skills on a short or long course. Our supportive tutors will help you gain the skills and qualifications to achieve your ambitions.

Most of our courses are FREE if you are on a low income or claiming benefits.

  • How do I apply?

    Step 1: Book an appointment for an assessment at our campus so we can offer you the right course.

    Step 2: We will mark your assessment in 7 working days and email you with the courses we can offer.

    Step 3: Then complete your enrolment by either calling or visiting the college enrolment team.

    Monday: 11-2pm

    Tuesday: 5-7pm

  1. Getting ready for maths functional skills (level 1)

    You will learn how to understand the non-calculator section of functional skills Level 1 Maths. You will develop your mathematical skills and knowledge in working with numbers including fractions, percentages, ratio and to work out area and perimeter. This non-accredited course will give you mathematical skills appropriate to the level, and show you how to apply mathematical thinking to solve simple problems in familiar situations. By the end of the course, you will have an inhouse written assessment which will allow your tutor to progress you to the accredited Functional Skills level 1 course.



    Free course: This is a Multiply course. Multiply is a new government programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills. This course is free for Londoners aged 19 or over. For more information Click here

  2. Maths functional skills level 2

    Do you need to gain a national maths qualification to show you have a good level of mathematical competence? Functional Skills Level 2 Maths shows employers and others that your maths skills are at a good level and that you can use skills to solve complex issues in a variety of situations. You will develop your maths to become a problem-solver, analyser and decision-maker.



    You MUST pass the first 6 weeks of the course. You must attend every class and do the necessary homework. If you do not, you will not be able to continue the course.

  5. Develop your Writing (ESOL Entry level)

    Is writing your most difficult skill in English? Do you want to improve your writing skills and techniques at entry level? Do you struggle with knowing which words should be capitalised? Do you need to improve writing in the correct tense? In this course you will focus on how to improve the structure of your writing - the whole text, sentences and paragraphs, and you will work on understanding and practising common writing conventions such as correct spelling, punctuation, capitalisation, use of symbols (e.g. & @ £) and the grammar of the English language. The skills you learn to develop your writing will also help you improve formal speaking whether this is for job interviews, meetings at work or giving simple presentations. This course is ideal if you are an ESOL learner who lacks confidence with your literacy skills.

  10. Maths for life and work (level 1)

    Do you want to prepare for Functional Skills Level 2 maths? Do you need to improve your maths to become more confident in problem-solving, analysing and making decisions at work and in your personal life? This course will help you with all of the above and make maths come alive. You will see how mathematics is everywhere and you will develop the maths you need to participate, make progress and express yourself in today's society. You will work on tasks which require you to use whole numbers and decimals, fractions and percentages and recognise the relationships between them. You will work on solving problem involving time, money and measurements, as well learn how to measure confidently and convert between units of measurement. You will be able to state properties of shapes, both 2D and 3D and be better able to interpret, discuss and comment on the graphs, charts and tables you see in newspapers, on the internet and at work.

  11. ESOL, maths and digital skills - for life and work (entry 2-entry 3)
    Course start date:  Thu 1 May 2025

    Are you quite confident about your everyday English? Can you have some short conversations and read and write simple emails? Can you go shopping, talk about simple subjects, and write a letter? But do you make quite a lot mistakes? Is it difficult to speak, read or write about more complicated topics? This course will help you learn more vocabulary and grammar so you can talk, read and write about more interesting everyday things and make fewer mistakes. Your will practise your speaking, listening, reading and writing so you can understand people better, talk about most daily topics, read a simple news story, and write a long email or letter. You will also improve your maths and the English you need to do maths such as for simple calculations with money and using percentages.
