Fine jewellery workshop

Elizabeth Bone is a professional Jewellery artist, maker, educator & author. She has been designing & making jewellery for over 25 years, exhibiting & selling in the UK, Europe, America & Japan. Elizabeth’s work has been featured in numerous jewellery publications & purchased by private collectors from all over the world. Elizabeth is a skilled maker who employs hand-fabricating techniques in her own work. She has a BA in Crafts - wood, metal, ceramics and textiles. After graduation Elizabeth was apprenticed to the jewellery artist Wendy Ramshaw where she became her principal workshop assistant for 10 years. In 2011 Elizabeth was commissioned to write a book, Silversmithing for Jewellery Makers – techniques, treatments & applications for inspirational design published in the UK, USA and China. Elizabeth is passionate about sharing her knowledge, her teaching experience at degree level and in adult education covers a broad spectrum of levels and subject areas and spans her career.

Studied at Plymouth College of Art, Middlesex University and Harrow College. Teaching Specialisms are press forming, casting/wax carving, stone mounting/setting and tool making. Rae has taught at many London Colleges including London Met, Newham College and Citylit. Rae has exhibited at Goldsmiths Hall, New Ashgate Gallery and Electrum Gallery to name a few. His commissioned work has included clients such as Next, Smash Hits music awards, prototyping for Vivienne Westwood and more recently, restoration of the original architectural model of the Sydney Opera House for the Engineering the World exhibition at the V+A. and hundreds of individual commissions through his shop. Crafts Council Selected maker. Rae is also a trained musical instrument maker, specialising in violins, violas, classical and flamenco guitars.

Rebecca has been teaching Jewellery and Silver-smithing for over 15 years, has her own Jewellery/Scupture practice, and works in her studio in Cambridgeshire. Originally trained as a Sculptor, her work reflects her experimental approach to materials and processes, and her teaching aims to develop student skills in specialist processes for example; press forming, repousse, etching, fold forming, creative forming and raising. She also mentors students, assists in project development, and works with creative practice development. Her work has been exhibited extensively here and internationally in Milan and Beijing and was short listed for the John Ruskin Prize in 2017. She is a member of the Association of Contemporary Jewellers and will be exhibiting in their Meanings and Messages exhibition throughout 2022/23. Katrin Spranger - trained as a goldsmith in Germany – is a jewellery artist, teacher and assessor. Katrin has experience in working with the electroforming technique for many years. Her unique, award winning designs have been exhibited internationally. As her practice is highly creative, she encourages her students to work in a playful manner to help them to achieve their potential through the exploration of materials, techniques and ideas. Katrin’s studio is based at Cockpit Arts, London where she also teaches experimental and conceptual master courses, group courses and one-to-ones.
