Designed to build confidence from the outset, this course introduces French step by step while exploring the French‑speaking world. Language structures and vocabulary are introduced progressively, with a strong focus on speaking and listening alongside the development of all four skills.
What will we cover?
Topics covered include personal information and introductions, as well as food and drinks in everyday contexts.
Language focus includes subject pronouns; definite and indefinite articles; the present tense of être and avoir; the present tense of regular ‑er verbs; question words; masculine and feminine adjectives; negative forms; numbers up to 100; jobs and nationalities; useful classroom language; and an introduction to French sounds and pronunciation.
Cultural elements explore famous French personalities and aspects of life for French people living abroad.

Talk about yourself using simple French (e.g. Je m’appelle Sophie. J’habite à Londres. Je suis étudiante.)
Understand simple information when others talk about themselves (e.g. understanding Je travaille dans un bureau et j’aime le café.)
