What will we cover?

Wir begeben uns auf eine Reise durch die deutsche Kunstgeschichte und entdecken Werke von deutschsprachigen Künstlern, die sich in den großen und kleinen Kunstsammlungen in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz befinden.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- talk about the historical themes that have shaped the German speaking art world

- discuss some of the important artists from German speaking countries.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Suitable if you are studying at level 4 or 4/5 or have studied German for at least 4 years. This an upper intermediate course (B2).

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

This is an online class. Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair- and group work. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.

Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

Pen and paper.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

Any upper intermediate or advanced German courses including German travel or oper lover courses. Your tutor will advise you.
