What is the course about?
The course aims to show students how to cope with everyday situations with increased confidence, to develop knowledge of grammar and to begin to discuss topical issues. Based on Willkommen 2, chapters 1 -3.

Personal details, daily work and home life, education systems, plans for the future, leisure trends, topic Munich.

- give reasons for learning languages (conjunctions dass, weil, obwohl)
- describe your impressions of education and school life and compare different education systems (perfect tense)

- summarise information about Munich
- describe where you live
- express likes and dislikes
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Students should have studied German for about two years recently or have completed the first term of this course. This course is A2.2 in the European framework.

It is also essential that you have some knowledge of basic grammar terminology such as: a verb, a noun and conjugation. It would be helpful if you had knowledge of more intermediate grammar terminology such as: dative, accusative, subordinate and main clause.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
