Are you taking a gentle pace course but still struggle with speaking in groups? Would you like to improve your confidence and make more contributions in conversations? This gentle pace short course will give you the foundations to become a more fluent speaker.

This skills-based course is for lower intermediate learners of French and aims to train you on strategies you can apply to listen more effectively to spoken French in a variety of different contexts. You will also look at elements of French pronunciation to give you a better idea of how French is spoken.

Sing your way to better French pronunciation and cultural knowledge with this fun workshop based on simple songs that French speakers learn as children. Suitable if you have recently started studying French or have an equivalent knowledge of the language.

You will visit places of interest such as museums, cafes and market so you develop your skills in a real life settings. You will learn how to read and write paragraphs and short texts about topics that interest you and important events. You will practise filling in forms, writing formal and informal letters and emails and you will improve your spelling, vocabulary and use of punctuation. You will also become more confident in expressing your thoughts and feelings and dealing with difficult situations, for example, at work or in your personal life. You will practise talking about your own life events and key issues such as news stories, public figures, health and culture. Your digital skills and maths will improve so you can manage your money, research important topics and use social media.
