It's intended for learners who are at a lower intermediate to intermediate level (e.g. learners with two to three years' worth of study). Topics to be covered will be agreed on by the teacher and students based on their needs.

What is the course about?

This course will give you the chance to practise and consolidate some of the vocabulary and grammar structures that lower intermediate speakers of Italian should know. The extra practice will help you feel more confident about using Italian yourself and understanding native speakers.

What will we cover?

Topics will be decided based on learners' needs and interests, in conjunction with the course tutor.

By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Feel more confident when communicating in Italian
- Understand more complex grammar and more varied vocabulary
- Feel ready to join a mainstream Italian course.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is aimed at students who have studied the language for about two to three years recently or have an equivalent level of the language.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
