What is the course about?
On this course, you will have the opportunity to review, develop your knowledge of sentence structures and grammatical functions, as well as having the opportunity to learn new grammar points. You will also have the opportunity to improve your speaking and listening skills as well as consolidate your reading and writing skills.
What will we cover?
The focus will be on revision and consolidation of previously learnt language, together with learning new verbs and vocabulary and plenty of opportunity to practise speaking and listening skills.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Express yourself using more complex sentences
Develop your vocabulary
Enhance your fluency and accuracy in speaking
Improve your listening and reading of Japanese
Consolidate grammatical structures.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Ideally you would be working towards Japanese Language Proficiency Exam N4 or have an equivalent level. Students should be able to read and write Hiragana and Katakana and have some knowledge of Kanji. This course suits students whose level is already upper intermediate but not yet advanced.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work,
group work, role plays, games and discussions of topics.
A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
