What is the course about?
The course aims to revise and build on the basics covered at levels 1 (beginners) and 2 lower. In particular, it aims to expand the students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge, so that learners can understand and produce accurate and appropriate language in a range of communicative occasions.
This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.
What will we cover?
Describing family, describing people and character, talking about your free time, informal and formal phone conversations, describing your house, renting a flat
Grammar: Revision & consolidation: nouns (nominative, accusative, genitive singular & plural), present simple, personal pronouns (object)
New language: indefinite article, the absence of article, personal pronouns( genitive), possessive pronouns, question words, indefinite pronouns, demonstrative pronouns.

Hold an informal & formal telephone conversation
Explain problems that your house may have
Make enquiries about renting & buying a flat and about moving house.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Level 2 upper course. Students should have studied Modern Greek for 2 years recently or have an equivalent knowledge of the language. You will also need to respond to simple instructions and read course documents in English and be at ease with the use of numbers for daily activities (using money, telling the time etc.).
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
