Now that you are finishing your third year of Greek, you have the opportunity to learn even more. Come to our class! It is a friendly and supportive class for students who want to speak more comfortably. We will speak a lot in Greek, read simple texts, and do exercises together. This way, you will understand the language and Greek culture better. It is time to use everything you have learned!

What will we cover?

Topics: free time and leisure activities, teenagers and free time, the arts and shows, books, Greek cinema, Greek music.

Grammar: passive voice, 2 types of subjunctive.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Talk about different leisure activities.
- Compare teenagers’ free time activities in the past and present.
- Talk about Greek arts and literature
- Use the passive voice and be able to use two types of subjunctives.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Students should have studied Modern Greek 3 lower: module 2 or 3 and a half years recently or have an equivalent knowledge of the language.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

The course is based on the communicative approach: 

- active students’ interaction 

- emphasis on speaking and listening skills 

- pair and group work 

- role plays 

- use of audio-visual techniques when appropriate 

Please note, students are expected to participate in oral classroom activities and complete homework tasks via Google Classroom.
