This short course is geared towards helping you sound more like a native speaker of Italian. While Italian pronunciation may seem relatively simple, there are actually quite a few features that require focus and practice. This course will allow you to concentrate on the sounds of Italian - how to produce them when speaking and how to recognise them when listening.

Explore the art, artists and history of the Italian High Renaissance. This short course, delivered in Italian, will introduce you to some of the major figures in the history of Italian art. This module of 5 lessons will cover



Renaissance painting in Italy and each lesson will be devoted to a particular artist who is representative of their time. The course will be delivered online.

Continue consolidating your Italian and find yourself speaking with increasing confidence on this communicative course for students who have studied Italian for year and are now starting their second year. The emphasis is on developing your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian beginners' or have an equivalent level (about a year of part-time study). Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni, Italian version).

Improve your knowledge of Italian through reading short works of fiction and non-fiction. The selected texts will be chosen for their intrinsic interest but will also be used as opportunities for language study, allowing learners to learn new vocabulary and practise their grammar by being exposed to authentic Italian texts.

This course is for intermediate and lower intermediate learners of Italian (Italian 2 Upper and Italian 3 lower, or learners in their third or fourth year of studying Italian) who would like to improve their reading skills and learn new grammar and vocabulary through reading and discussing works of Italian fiction and/or non-fiction. The texts chosen may be in the form of easy readers to facilitate understanding. The chosen texts will be written in Italian, and discussions will be in Italian, though some English may be permitted, so learners will be able to stretch themselves and feel more confident about expressing their opinion and asking questions in class.

Italian 3 lower is our course for learners in their fourth year of Italian, so it's meant for intermediate learners who are at CEFR level B1. Italian 3 lower comes after Italian beginners, Italian 2 lower and then Italian 2 upper. You'll improve your intermediate Italian on this communicative course through speaking and listening activities, so the emphasis is on developing your oral skills, but you'll continue to learn more complex grammar and expand your vocabulary.
