What is the course about?
Use your body as an artwork to create living sculptures.
What will we cover?
Mark making using your body, using props to extend your body limits, documenting work using photography and video, research famous performance artists like Joseph Beuys, Bruce Nauman. Marina Abramovich.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Create a group piece on chosen themes, movements and positions,
Document your work using video
Present your work to an audience.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
The course is beginner level.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
It will be hands on and with time to work on your own pieces with the tutors help
Demonstration, Group discussion. Some compositions and sculptures will be made together as a group. You will review your work using video playback.
