Sue Baker Kenton is an artist for whom drawing is pivotal and whose practise engages with the analogue nature and material resistance of traditional print processes in a digital world. Since graduating her MA Printmaking she has received Arts Council funding for individual research into Lithography at the Curwen Print Study Centre and in 2016 she was appointed etching fellow at Royal Academy Schools, Piccadilly, London. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally and is represented in public and private collections including Victoria & Albert Museum, Word & Image department. Sue regularly undertakes research trips and residencies, these inform the sessions she teaches with an ethos of purposeful play and enquiry. Her experience of comparative process and her engagement with contemporary practice brings a dialogue to her teaching that is both specific and collaborative. Sue Baker Kenton teaches primarily on the advanced programme at City Lit and at several specialist printmaking organisations.
