Hengameh read French and comparative literature at the University of Paris III and received a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages from Kings’ College London. She has over 14 years of experience teaching French across all age groups and sectors in the UK. She gained her Further and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate at Kingston college and taught for 7 years at Surrey Adult Education and Surrey University in their Evening Language Programme. She endeavours to create a supportive and relaxed environment in her classes as well as providing the right level of challenge and stimulation for the students.

Anna has been working as a German, Russian and French language teacher since 2010 and has taught adults and children, both groups and individuals, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Anna thinks that enjoyment and motivation are the most important factors when learning a language, so she includes a lot of role play, conversation and real-life materials in her lessons. Languages are her main passion which she tries to communicate to her students. Anna also extensively works as a translator and editor. She has a significant experience in the development and editing of original teaching materials, as she has worked a lot in the field of educational publishing. Anna is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and works as an examiner and presenter for this institution. Anna holds a Translator's Degree from the University of Heidelberg, a Master’s degree from ESCP (École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris), the Diploma in Translation IoLET and the CELTA qualification. Anna has a multicultural and multilingual background as she lived and worked in Germany, France, Russia and England for many years.

Originally from Vendome in the Loir-et-Cher, I am a versatile native French teacher who has been teaching students of all ages and levels in London for more than 30 years. My students' French language knowledge ranges from complete beginner to advanced levels: as well as teaching adults, I teach French to primary school children and conversation skills to A-levels students. For 30 years, I have also tutored students for French exams and taught adults in one to one and groups in companies and government agencies. As an applied linguist (MA), I am passionate about all aspects of foreign language learning and teaching and I always aim to provide a positive learning experience in order to help students develop a long-lasting interest in languages regardless of their age, level or ability. My teaching classroom practices are influenced by communicative and task-based language teaching. As a constuctivist, I strive to make my students active and inquisitive participants in class in order to enhance their own learning experience. My classes are accessible, lively and interactive, and I try to use authentic French material to make my classes cultural as well as linguistic.

As someone who loves travelling, learning about other cultures, and interacting with people from all backgrounds, Silvana believes that studying languages should be an enriching and uplifting experience! She loves sharing her passion for the French language and culture and creating engaging resources to deliver memorable lessons, rich in cultural content. A highly qualified MFL teacher (BA French and English, MA French Cultural Studies, PGCE French) with a BSc in Philosophy, and a wealth of experience in teaching and mentoring, Silvana is committed to creating a positive, empowering atmosphere in her lessons, to instil confidence and a love for learning in her students. She regards teaching French as a wonderful opportunity to open new horizons, build cultural bridges and encourage the sharing of diverse perspectives in the classroom. Silvana is also a qualified Life Coach and the author of “Being You and Loving You”, a life affirming book about living with trust, and joy.
