What is the course about?
To enable students to communicate more fully and fluently in a wider range of everyday situations and conversations. The course will also give insight into cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries.
What will we cover?
Asking for permission and favours, accepting and refusing invitations,talking about past experiences, intentions and projects, food habits in Spain and Latin America.
Grammar: present continuous, present perfect, use of "ya/todavía no", use of "ir a + infinitive", impersonal form "se", direct object pronouns,simple past, use of "gustaría + infinitive".
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Naming ingredients and explaining recipes.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is intended for students who have completed Spanish 2 upper: module 1 or have an equivalent knowledge of the language. How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.

Analía is a native Spanish speaker from Argentina. She holds a BA and Postgraduate Diploma from Universidad de Buenos Aires. Since she graduated, she has taught English and Spanish language at various levels from Primary School to Adult Education in different settings. As a teacher, she has developed a passion for digital tools which she has incorporated into her teaching practice to enhance the students’ learning experience. Since June 2020, she has worked collaboratively with the Tutor Development Programme (TDP) to plan and deliver tutor training sessions about teaching online as well as student inductions to support students with different digital tools.
