Prepare for the 'Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera B2'. The course does not include exam fees and each learner will be responsible for their own enrolment in the exam. Please note that you should have studied Spanish for about 5 years or have an equivalent level.

What is the course about?

To prepare students to the DELE B2. This is a demanding course, which requires a considerable amount of self study.

Term 1 08.10.25 - 10.12.25
Term 2 14.01.26 - 01.04.26
Term 3 22.04.26 - 10.06.26.

What will we cover?

Based on authentic material such as articles or recordings and topics such as the environment, employment, entertainment. You will also learn and practise complex grammar as well as varied functions used to express opinions, feelings and attitudes.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- analyse newspaper articles or other type of documents (informative or argumentative)
- express opinions using different registers of the language
- express personal views using the appropriate register through formal letters, critical article, contribution to a debate, etc.
- write and master complex grammar, vocabulary, etc.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Spanish 4. You should have studied Spanish for about 5 or 6 years or have an equivalent level of the language.
You should have a good knowledge of grammar as well as good fluency. It is also essential that you have some knowledge of basic grammar terminology (verb, noun, conjugation), as well as a knowledge of more intermediate terminology (prepositions, direct and indirect pronouns, subjunctive, main and subordinate clause). How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
