A brief look at the great Patsy Rodenburg's celebrated work in an intensive voice and speech workshop spread over two sessions.
What will we cover?
Alignment, breath and articulation exercises sourced from several of Patsy Rodenburg's publications on voice and presence.
What will I achieve? By the end of this course you should be able to...
Have a clear sense of the vocal channel being able to phonate with a sense of ease. Deepen your connection to the breath and release sound with freedom. Identify exercises you can use as part of a regular voice limber.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Anyone with an interest in the voice is welcome.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You should ideally be familiar with the work of Rodenburg before you attend the workshop.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Bring a copy of the text The Actor Speaks with you as well as a notebook and pen and small hand mirror. You will be encouraged to buy another of the books we look at in the workshop. You should be dressed for floor exercises.
