In this intensive version of our popular longer course you will begin to explore ‘on mic’ the skills and techniques required across a range of audio/voiceover situations. This course will be online.

What is the course about?

Exploring the skills and techniques required across a range of audio voiceover situations over six intensive sessions. This course will be online.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

Audio books
What “ type” of voice do I have?

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Explain the demands of radio commercials recording.
Explain the demands of audio books recording.
Have an awareness of how your voice comes across.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

For beginners.

In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Speak English fluently and clearly.
• To read a script accurately.
• Give and receive constructive feedback.
• Take notes.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Practical experience. We will record and play back your work.

As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No. Recorded material MAY be made available via Google Classroom at the end of the course in accordance with our privacy policies and data protection regulations.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?
