What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Choose a level 4 course if you can: - understand authentic, long passages of some complexity (e.g., interviews, adverts, news broadcasts, etc), - participate in authentic conversation with native speakers using a good range of generally accurate language, argue a viewpoint convincingly, - understand authentic texts with relative ease (e.g., articles from the press, literary extracts, etc).
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
- Preparation for each class: You will have to read one chapter prior to the class to familiarise yourself with the text.
- Work in class: You will look at the chapter read in more detail (vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar…) with the tutor and/or the other students through pair and small group discussion.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
