What is the course about?

The programme begins with quiet, supported postures that bring relief to your breathing and follows through with postures that strengthen the immune system. It ends with a choice of relaxation positions.

We use the restorative yoga postures to relax and restore by putting the body in a comfortable position supported with various yoga props. We direct our attention to the breath giving our system a wonderful opportunity to deeply rest, restore and recover.

Everyone’s ability and needs are different and not every posture will be suitable for all. Therefore, we provide modified versions. Additional postures may be added to provide a practice tailored to your personal needs.

This is in-person course.

What will we cover?

- Supported prone poses
- Breath observation
- Supported standing poses
- Supported seated poses
- Supine (lying down) poses
- Supported inverted poses
- Prone Savasana and guided relaxation.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Experience a range of restorative poses specially designed to work on the respiratory, circulatory and lymphatic systems
- Feel rested, quietly energised and generally well
- Learn at least 3 restorative poses and be able to stay for 3 minutes in each
- Practice some poses at home on your own.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

It is suitable for all, no experience in yoga is needed. If you feel weak and tired after an illness, be patient and don’t allow the practice to tire you - it should support you.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

- Demonstrations and follow-me
- Corrections and adjustments
- Verbal instructions
- ndividual practice
- Mini lecture
- Q&As.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
