Learn the techniques required in making sculptural/functional objects in steel: cutting, bending, welding and joining small scale metal. Please bring ideas, inspiration and scrap metal. This course is for beginners and those at intermediate level.

A bronze by Swiss sculptor Giacometti recently sold at auction for £65,000,000. Create your own by researching materials, building an armature, sculpting directly in plaster and colour your sculpture to a realistic bronze finish. All abilities welcome.

A chance to use different clays with the addition of oxides, fluxing agents and natural combustible materials. Fuse found objects in the kiln, make biscuit slips and investigate the textural possibilities of glazes.

Explore the possibilities of modelling in clay and plaster. Taking inspiration from contemporary sculpture, work from found objects to develop your imagination, explore techniques of modelling, casting and transform forms according to your imagination. All levels of experience welcome.

Develop your skills on the wheel. You will have your own wheel and the opportunity to use a variety of types of clay. The course is for experienced throwers and is ideal if you wish to develop your practice further. Intermediate level, throwing skills required.

Attending one full day a week, you will develop new skills trialling different techniques to further your ceramic knowledge, helping to develop your practice. Focus will be on exploration and the development of personal ideas to produce a body of finished Ceramic work and knowledge which could lead onto study. Some materials are included.
