Etching, Intaglio & Lithography Courses In London
Etching has a long history here at City Lit, and we have excellent facilities including two large, intaglio roll presses alongside the expertise of our tutors who use etching within their own art practice. Learn how to acid bite a plate to create deep intaglio prints with a richness and tone that can’t be equalled in other media.
Other ways to create plates include collographs, a process that takes you through a more handmade approach, giving you an economic way to increase scale whilst combining surface marks and found textures in a harmonious form. Lithography introduces a more painterly approach to mark making and printmaking and is a great cross-over for any student who wants to enrich and expand on their drawing practice.
