Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which produces a beautiful deep blue print from a variety of artwork, including drawings, photographs, physical objects or combinations of all of these. All levels welcome.

What is history? What does history mean to you? Is history important to society? How about memory? Who gets to decide what and whose history and memory are important? What are the implications of this? There are many reasons and ways to engage with history and memory. With this session, we scratch the surface of the vast universe that is history and memory to give you a taster of the importance of doing both as democratic practice..

If ‘Hitchcock’ is a body of work spanning fifty years and more than fifty films, then ‘English Hitchcock’ comprises the first section of that work: 23 feature films made before his departure for Hollywood in 1939. His English period is the gradual and delightful process of his becoming the ‘Hitchcock’ we all think we know, from The Lodger (1927) to The Lady Vanishes (1937). Join us in City Lit’s Cultureplex as we examine this exciting and perhaps less well-known period of Hitchcock’s career.
