Computing for Deaf People - Courses in London
City Lit offer computing classes at different levels for deaf people, from beginners to European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) level 2. Our tutors will help you find the right course to meet your needs. Classes are taught in BSL.
For deaf computing courses you will need to come to an initial assessment session to make sure you find the right class. Please contact us by SMS text on 07642818557 or email email@example.com to make an appointment.
In order to join our deaf computing courses, you need to have an interview and initial assessment first.

Join this course and learn how to use the most important basic features of Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2016. This course will give you the confidence to use the programs independently as well as follow your studies to a higher level. By the end of the course you will have improved your skills and gained a qualification, Level 1 ECDL award in IT user skills.
This course is FREE if one of the following applies:
a) You are employed and earn less than £20,962. You need to have lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years and be a citizen of the UK or a country within the EU. You may also be eligible for this funding in other circumstances. When you come for assessment or enrolment, bring a pay slip dated within 3 months of the course start date, or a current employment contract that shows your gross salary. OR
b) You are either on Jobseekers' Allowance or Employment & Support Allowance (WRAG). Please bring proof of income to your assessment or enrolment. OR
c) You receive other state benefits (including Universal Credit), earn less than £338 a month (individual claims) or £541 a month (household claims) and are doing the course to become employed or move into more sustainable employment.
