    This course will help you get become confident in your everyday communication including reading and writing. We will focus on topics that interest you and use these to help you improve the key elements of reading and writing as well as communication skills to enable you to express your thoughts and feelings including in difficult situations. You will learn to how write whole sentences and paragraphs, use adjectives effectively, organise your writing, make notes and complete drafts, spell important common words, use punctuation correctly and develop reading and writing strategies most suited to you. And you will learn some digital skills including reading and finding information from websites. This course has no exams.

    This course will help you to get confident in reading, writing and communication. You will learn to read pieces of texts, write sentences, spell correctly and use punctuation.You will also learn all the basic functions of creating Word documents: adding, copying, moving and formatting text, inserting pictures and creating tables, checking spelling and grammar, changing the page layout and printing different documents accurately.   9. English for deaf people: Brush up your grammar (entry 3 - entry 3)

    This course is suitable for deaf people who can read and write English reasonably well but would like to know more about English grammar and the language / vocabulary we use to talk about language. Delivered via British Sign Language, the weekly sessions will use both languages to make sense of English grammar by incorporating various teaching and learning activities such as discussions, comparing and contrasting BSL and English and so forth. This course has no exams.

  11. Lipreading and managing hearing loss: introduction

  14. Communication with older people with a hearing loss
