What is the course about?
Discover your TV presenting potential. Learn how to present to camera, read autocue, memorise a piece to camera, interview and talk to time.
What will we cover?
Overcoming nerves, presenting to camera, reading autocue, writing and memorising short scripts, hosting an interview, being a guest interviewee, talking to time, breaking into the industry.
Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material that some students may find challenging.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is a reasonably fast-paced course for beginners. No prior TV presenter training is required, and it is suitable for those who have or do not have a performance background. Good communication skills are required. In order to get the most from the course you will be able to:
• Speak English fluently and clearly
• Listen and respond to instructions
• Read a script accurately
• Give and receive constructive feedback
• Take notes
• Work within groups and on your own.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Practical sets of exercises will be recorded on camera and played back with individual and generic helpful comments.
As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Please bring a notepad and pen or tablet on which you can write notes.
