Once upon a time there was a City Lit workshop all about writing fairytales. The quest: to inspire writers to pen stories of love, fear, forests, revenge, dragons, witches, kings, queens, frogs and magic.

From pub crawls to punk rock, via comic books, action painting and Hegelian philosophy; hear the unlikely tale of the Situationists: international artist-revolutionaries who tried to change the world itself into a work of art.

Learn which foods and drinks slow down ageing and protect your body from the diseases of older age, and which foods you should be avoiding. Gain a proper understanding of why some foods are so good for us, and why some are so damaging to our bodies. This is a relaxed and friendly class where questions are welcomed. It is packed with information and you should leave it feeling inspired to make healthier decisions about what you do and don’t eat and drink.







‘Nutrition to slow down aging part one’ and ‘Nutrition to slow down aging part two’ are two stand-alone three hour courses. You can take both courses, or just one, ideally take part one first, but it doesn’t matter if you do them the other way around. The courses complement each other.

Art is fundamentally about communicating ideas. If the idea is strong, the work of art is memorable.



This exciting, one day workshop, led by Rod Judkins (artist, tutor and author of ‘The art of Creative thinking’ and ‘Ideas are your only currency’) will explore methods to create ideas and concepts and combine them with the process of making. You will receive a signed copy of Art and Creative Thinking when you attend this course.

All fiction must speak to us as readers. It must communicate atmosphere and plot, character and layers of meaning with a unique 'voice'. Characters must also sound like themselves with dialogue that compels and convinces. Learn the fundamentals of voice and dialogue in this one-day course.
