This is a short introduction to Generative AI for non-technical beginners who want to find out what all the fuss is about over ChatGPT, DALL-E and Stable Diffusion.

This skills-based course is for lower intermediate learners of Italian and is intended to improve your Italian speaking skills in everyday situations. We will be looking at both formal and informal scenarios, and the aim is to help you to feel more comfortable speaking Italian in order to improve your fluency. Please note this course is intended for Italian 2 lower learners (learners in their second year of study).

If you have learned Spanish in the past, but it has been a while, then come and join this lively course to refresh your lower intermediate Spanish. You wil review, revise and practice in a course that is tailored to your needs. After attending this course, you will be able join a level 2 upper course in September or level 2 course in the summer.

Continue improving your elementary Spanish on this communicative course, taught in Spanish with the emphasis on speaking and listening. Suitable if you have completed 'Spanish 2 lower: module 1' or equivalent. Based on units 6-10 of 'Ele Actual A2 (libro del alumno)' and exercise book (SM Publishers).

This course will develop your critical appreciation of the cinema by teaching you how to read and understand film texts. We will look at the elements that underpin film form – narrative, mise en scène, cinematography, editing and sound – alongside its historical development. We will consider film style by exploring classical, post-classical and art cinema and we will examine influential critical modes of analysis, such as genre, authorship and spectatorship.

Revise, consolidate and improve your listening and speaking skills on this lively course, which will help you communicate more confidently in daily life situations. Ideal if you have an intermediate level of Spanish, are doing 'Spanish 3 lower', 'Spanish 3 upper' or have an equivalent level (B1 level).
