Paul Farmer has been a supporter of the College and a regular speaker at the Mental Wealth Festival for many years. Paul has been Chief Executive of Mind, the leading mental health charity working in England and Wales since May 2006. He is also Chair of the NHS England Independent Oversight & Advisory Group which brings together health and care leaders and experts to oversee the current mental health long term plan for the NHS in England.
“I'm thrilled and honoured to be offered a City Lit Fellowship Award. I gained so much during the time I attended classes at Keeley Street. I spent a happy time there, mainly singing and dancing and - most of all - writing. And I thank the staff, the tutors and the building itself for the wonderful opportunities and benefits I received during my time there.”
