Come and practise your intermediate spoken French and develop your language skills in these topical discussion classes. Based on recordings from French television, radio news and newspaper articles.

Ideal if you have passed level 2 in BSL and are ready to develop the knowledge and skills you need to achieve the level 3 qualification, accredited by Signature.

Want to learn (continue learning) French but worried that you might not be able to keep up? French 4 at a gentle pace is designed to cover the same material as our standard French 4 at a gentle pace class, but at a slightly slower pace, and with more opportunities for revision built in.

Come to consolidate and practice your upper-intermediate Cornish. You should have studied for 2/3 years.

Develop your advanced Cornish conversation and discussion.Suitable for anyone who has studied Cornish for several years and wants to improve their oral skills.



Over two years, the course prepares those wishing to take the 4th grade (final grade) of the Cornish Language Board examinations.

Part-time 19 days spread over 10 lecture blocks







This course will be a mixed delivery mode. Students will attend City Lit, Covent Garden, London for some of the teaching blocks and access some of the blocks online.







You will attend lecture and teaching practice blocks on the following dates.



2025: 17 and 18 October, 14 and 15 November, 12 and 13 December,



2026: 9 and 10 January, 6 and 7 February, 20 and 21 March,



17 18 April, 8 May, 15 and 16 May, 12 and 13 June







If combined with a teaching qualification such as our GT105 Award in Education and Training, this will qualify you to teach Lipreading in the Further Education sector.
