Drawing and painting: life and portraiture

Drawing & Painting: Life & Portraiture Courses - Online & London

From speed life drawing and painting portraits to more experimental approaches in studying the figure, we promise to have a life and portraiture course for all. Each of our specialist life drawing courses provides an opportunity to consider ways in which we view, study and perceive the figure in a personal way translating what we see into marks on paper.

Life and portraiture courses introduce the basics of anatomical structures and the fundamentals of figure and life drawing, exploring the basis of drawing and painting techniques to create representations that are either traditional, abstract or experimental.

Studying life and portraiture can be a great challenge and can really help develop other areas of students work as they move from drawing into painting or even into mixed media and 3-dimensional ways of working.

Our professional tutors will help to tackle those creative challenges and support beginners with no prior experience the basic knowledge of how to record the forms of the body and life studies. Our art studios offer space, light and plenty of opportunities to be creative in setting up life and portraiture settings using a host of life models.
