Beyond Good and Evil, is a one of the greatest, most famous and unsettling works of philosophy. A groundbreaking work that challenges conventional morality, truth, and values, it sets the agenda for much of modern philosophy and critical theory. This reading group offers an opportunity to explore Nietzsche’s critique of traditional philosophy and his vision for a “philosophy of the future.”.

Share thoughts and ideas about what you are reading, with books chosen by the group. Please come to the first session with suggestions (contemporary literary fiction in paperback) and having read 'The Wren, The Wren' by Anne Enright. We meet on the following dates: 22/9, 20/10, 24/11, 12/1, 16/2, 16/3, 11/5, 8/6, 6/7.

This 6-week online course will take learners on China’s “reform and opening up” journey,
from the death of Chairman Mao Zedong in 1978, to the election of Xi Jinping in 2013.
“Opening up” involved a series of economic and societal reforms to rebuild the country after
the Cultural Revolution, and each session will explore China’s cinematic output from the late
1970s until the 2000s, and map this against the nation’s local and global progression into the
modern super-power that it is today.

Italian 2 upper is our third-year Italian course, so this year you'll be progressing through lower intermediate Italian towards intermediate. You'll find yourself learning new ways to express yourself more accurately and confidently. The emphasis is on the development of your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian 2 lower', or have studied Italian for about 2 years. Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni, Italian version).

Continue learning to speak Spanish on this lively, communicative course for near beginners. Taught in Spanish with the emphasis on developing your listening and speaking skills.

An opportunity to gain an A-level qualification in one year. You will study topics on the society, history and culture of contemporary Italy and will develop relevant exam skills. Suitable if you have studied Italian for about five years. The course fee includes non-refundable exam costs payable in advance and is payable in instalments.







IMPORTANT:







This course will be delivered online. However, a mock exam will take place in February 2025 at our central London college. You will therefore need to make sure that you make the necessary arrangements so that you can attend. The exact date will be posted when the mock exam has been set up.







The official exams will also take place at our Covent Garden college during the months of May and June (exact dates to be confirmed). Please note that the end date of the course may change depending on when the official exams are scheduled.
