What is the course about?

The aim of this intensive course is to provide you with an opportunity to study and revise grammatical structures and to expand your vocabulary whilst building your confidence in speaking French again.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?

Topics: introducing and talking about yourself; daily routine; hobbies; pros and cons of various jobs.

Grammar: question forms; prepositions; comparatives; present, near future and passé composé.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- exchange information
- ask questions
- extract information from a variety of sources
- talk about your plans for the week-end
- talk about past events

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Rusty GCSE, O-level or equivalent. This course is particularly suitable for those who wish to revise and consolidate on previously acquired knowledge before going on a regular course.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material. Homework is highly recommended to consolidate your learning.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

Based on the tutor's own material. The tutor might recommend a book at the beginning of the course. Please note that the book is used as a support only. You will not cover all the activities in the book during the course.
