Come and discover what a lower intermediate French class feels like.



This course is suitable if you have studied French for 2-3 years recently or have done a GCSE some time ago.

From Lille, Lyon, Nice, Marseille and Bordeaux, to Nantes, we will learn what makes each of these places unique, and how you can prepare your visit .



A compact workshop, full of tips and useful vocabulary, covering everything you need to know, from aspects of history and culture, to local specialties, hidden gems, short itineraries and so much more!

Get ready for a new challenge and join this intensive course for complete beginners.

Revise and consolidate your speaking and listening skills, as well as your grammar. Suitable if you have completed 'French beginners: module 3' or have an equivalent knowledge of the language (one year's study).

Revise and consolidate your lower intermediate French speaking and listening skills. Suitable if you have recently studied French for two to three years.

Come and consolidate your upper-intermediate French. You will develop your listening skills and practise your oral French by taking part in discussions, debates on news items and cultural events.

With proceeds going to the City Lit Student Bursary, the French Film matinée is a chance to round out the term with a fun movie matinée in the college. The film will be presented by tutor Stéphanie Radet.



The film we will be watching is Les 400 coups by François Truffaut (1959), a film about Antoine Doinel, a semi-autobiographical character and a misunderstood adolescent in Paris who struggles with his parents and teachers.

Come to celebrate 14th July with songs. From La Marseillaise to La Carmagnole, enjoy singing and learning famous revolutionary French songs. Any level welcome.
