This short course is geared towards helping you sound more like a native speaker of Italian. While Italian pronunciation may seem relatively simple, there are actually quite a few features that require focus and practice. This course will allow you to concentrate on the sounds of Italian - how to produce them when speaking and how to recognise them when listening.

Continue consolidating your Italian and find yourself speaking with increasing confidence on this communicative course for students who have studied Italian for year and are now starting their second year. The emphasis is on developing your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian beginners' or have an equivalent level (about a year of part-time study). This skills-based course is for intermediate learners of Italian and is intended to improve your Italian speaking skills in everyday situations. We will be looking at both formal and informal scenarios, and the aim is to help you to feel more comfortable speaking Italian in order to improve your fluency.

Italian 3 lower is our course for learners in their fourth year of Italian, so it's meant for intermediate learners who are at CEFR level B1. Italian 3 lower comes after Italian beginners, Italian 2 lower and then Italian 2 upper. You'll improve your intermediate Italian on this communicative course through speaking and listening activities, so the emphasis is on developing your oral skills, but you'll continue to learn more complex grammar and expand your vocabulary.

Italian 2 upper is our third-year Italian course, so this year you'll be progressing through lower intermediate Italian towards intermediate. You'll find yourself learning new ways to express yourself more accurately and confidently. The emphasis is on the development of your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian 2 lower', or have studied Italian for about 2 years. Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni, Italian version).

A revision course for learners at an upper intermediate level who wish to brush up on the grammar and vocabulary they’ve covered so far on their Italian learning journey. If you feel like you could do with another look at some key grammar points, perhaps from a different angle, this course should get you feeling more confident about your grasp of Italian grammar. You'll also have opportunities to practise your speaking and listening skills to improve your fluency.

This course follows the A-level syllabus and is suitable for those who would like to progress in Italian in a structured way. The course does not lead to the exam but aims to prepare you to join the Italian A Level course next year. Ideally you should have taken GCSE Italian (having achieved a grade 7, 8 or 9) or have equivalent upper intermediate knowledge. The course is divided into three parts (parts 2 and 3 will take place in term 2 and 3).

Gain a GCSE qualification and develop your practical language and exam skills. Suitable if you have studied Italian for about two years. The course fee includes non-refundable exam costs, payable in advance. Course fees are payable in instalments.







This course will be delivered online. However, a mock exam will take place in February 2025 at our central London college. You will therefore need to make sure that you make the necessary arrangements so that you can attend. The date will be posted when the mock exam has been set up.







The official exams will also take place at our Covent Garden college during the months of May and June (exact dates to be confirmed). Please note that the end date of the course may change depending on when the official exams are scheduled.

Suitable if you have completed Italian 2 lower: module 1. Improve your elementary Italian on this communicative course. The emphasis is on developing your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 2 Lower: module 1 or equivalent. Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni - Italian version).

An evening revision course for learners who have done about three years of Italian and who wish to brush up on the grammar covered so far. If you feel like you could do with another look at some key grammar points, perhaps from a different angle, this course should get you feeling more confident about your grasp of Italian grammar.

Questa classe di conversazione ti offre la possibilità di consolidare il tuo livello intermedio di italiano praticando e perfezionando I punti grammaticali studiati al livello 3. Adatto a chi frequenta un corso al livello 3 lower or 3 upper oppure a chi ha una conoscenza equivalente della lingua. Attenzione: le lezioni si svolgeranno a settimane alterne, cioè ogni quindici giorni.







Please note this course takes place every other week.

This course is for intermediate and lower intermediate learners of Italian (Italian 2 Upper and Italian 3 lower, or learners in their third or fourth year of studying Italian) who would like to improve their reading skills and learn new grammar and vocabulary through reading and discussing works of Italian fiction and/or non-fiction. The texts chosen may be in the form of easy readers to facilitate understanding. The chosen texts will be written in Italian, and discussions will be in Italian, though some English may be permitted, so learners will be able to stretch themselves and feel more confident about expressing their opinion and asking questions in class.
