This short course is geared towards helping you sound more like a native speaker of Italian. While Italian pronunciation may seem relatively simple, there are actually quite a few features that require focus and practice. This course will allow you to concentrate on the sounds of Italian - how to produce them when speaking and how to recognise them when listening.

Continue consolidating your Italian and find yourself speaking with increasing confidence on this communicative course for students who have studied Italian for year and are now starting their second year. The emphasis is on developing your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian beginners' or have an equivalent level (about a year of part-time study). Italian 3 lower is our course for learners in their fourth year of Italian, so it's meant for intermediate learners who are at CEFR level B1. Italian 3 lower comes after Italian beginners, Italian 2 lower and then Italian 2 upper. You'll improve your intermediate Italian on this communicative course through speaking and listening activities, so the emphasis is on developing your oral skills, but you'll continue to learn more complex grammar and expand your vocabulary.

Italian 2 upper is our third-year Italian course, so this year you'll be progressing through lower intermediate Italian towards intermediate. You'll find yourself learning new ways to express yourself more accurately and confidently. The emphasis is on the development of your oral skills. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian 2 lower', or have studied Italian for about 2 years. Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni, Italian version).

A revision course for learners at an upper intermediate level who wish to brush up on the grammar and vocabulary they’ve covered so far on their Italian learning journey. If you feel like you could do with another look at some key grammar points, perhaps from a different angle, this course should get you feeling more confident about your grasp of Italian grammar. You'll also have opportunities to practise your speaking and listening skills to improve your fluency.

Questa classe di conversazione ti offre la possibilità di consolidare il tuo livello intermedio di italiano praticando e perfezionando I punti grammaticali studiati al livello 3. Please note this course takes place every other week.

This course is for intermediate and lower intermediate learners of Italian (Italian 2 Upper and Italian 3 lower, or learners in their third or fourth year of studying Italian) who would like to improve their reading skills and learn new grammar and vocabulary through reading and discussing works of Italian fiction and/or non-fiction. The texts chosen may be in the form of easy readers to facilitate understanding. The chosen texts will be written in Italian, and discussions will be in Italian, though some English may be permitted, so learners will be able to stretch themselves and feel more confident about expressing their opinion and asking questions in class.

Improve your knowledge of Italian through on this short literature course which will give you an opportunity to learn new vocabulary and practise your grammar by being exposed to authentic Italian texts. Each term learners will look at a new text and use it as a base to improve not only their reading skills but also their speaking, grammar and vocabulary.

To coincide with the Lucrezia Battaglia exhibition currently running at the Photographers' Gallery in London, this seminar will introduce you to the life and work of the noted Italian photographer Lucrezia Battaglia.
