This skills-based course is for lower intermediate learners of Spanish and aims to train you on strategies you can apply to listen more effectively to spoken Spanish in a variety of different contexts. You will also look at elements of pronunciation to give you a better idea of how Spanish is spoken.

How do you cope with different Spanish accents? Do you find some easier to understand than others? This series of short courses will help you understand the specificities and intricacies of a variety of Spanish and South American accents, so you can spot their speakers more easily and understand them better to keep the conversation going.

Learn to speak Spanish from scratch, focusing on your listening and speaking skills.Taught in Spanish with the emphasis on developing your listening and speaking skills.

Revise and consolidate your speaking and listening skills, as well as your grammar. Suitable if you have completed 'Spanish 2 lower' or have an equivalent knowledge of the language (two years of study).



This course combines an independent study unit and three (online) group sessions. Please check the "How will I be taught" section below for details.

This intensive course is suitable if you have studied Spanish 2 upper: module 3 or learnt the language for about 3 years in the past, but are not sure whether you are ready to join the fourth year. You will revise the main areas of study for year 3 in three sessions, and will be ready for Spanish 3 lower: module 1 in September.

This course is suitable if you have studied Spanish for about 3 years recently.

How to speak with confidence and authenticity in a North American or Broadcast Standard accent as well as a couple of regional American accents as time permits; ideal for actors who wish to expand their armoury of accents. This course will be taught in the college.
