What is the course about?
The course enables students to make themselves understood in a wide range of everyday situations. All language skills will be practised but there is a particular focus on speaking and listening. Lessons are interactive and include cultural information about Japan and Japanese society. This course is suitable for students who have studied Japanese for about 4 years.
This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.

All grammar is related to the Japanese Language Proficiency test N4 ( JLPT N4 ).
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
You should have completed Japanese for Busy People 1-revised edition 3, book 2
( Lesson 1-6 & 8*partly ) or have an equivalent knowledge of the language and be fluent in Hiragana and Katakana with some basic knowledge of Kanji.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
